We are The Forum

The Forum is a community hub for training and collaboration. We exist to help the helpers through providing needed support and high quality professional development.

What if… we established a community of service in Charlotte with a common language and understanding?

What if… all those working on the front lines in our community received support and training that would help them do their work even better?

What if… all agencies, regardless of size and resources, had access to the same quality training and support?

We believe the answer to these questions will change the nonprofit landscape in the Charlotte community — for the good of everyone.

We see a better future

We envision a service community that is equipped and supported at all levels; a community of non-profit staff that serves with confidence and longevity.

We recognize that it is those who are providing the day-to day care of our community’s most challenged populations that often need the most support. Whether you are housing case manager, a front desk worker, a resident assistant or counselor or social worker, you will find knowledge and support at The Forum.

Everything we do is in support of three primary goals:

E

To provide training and support opportunities that address the need of community non-profit staff

E

To create opportunities for inter-agency connection and collaboration

E

To support the creation of a common language and unified best practices among front-line non-profit staff and volunteers

Our History

The Forum was created on the grounds of Hope Haven in their “old conference center”. Thanks to a hometown grant supplied by Lowes and lots of volunteers hours and donations, the newly renovated space—now named The Forum at Hope Haven—was created.

On January 31, 2023, The Forum was introduced to the community through a formal launch event. Those attending contributed to this art piece that now hangs in our lobby—the multitude of colors representing the many personalities and gifts of the agencies who serve the Charlotte community.

Affordable & Accessible for All

We work hard to ensure that Forum offerings are accessible to all staff working in this community. Ready to enroll?

We want to hear from you!
